LOC FEST is about more than encouraging one to embrace their hair in its natural state. It’s about self-love, self-care, sustainable living and celebrating one’s culture and freedom of being oneself. Loc Fest aims to inspire people of the African diaspora to respect their own well-being and happiness. Loc Fest celebrates the deliberate measures to take care of one's mental, emotional, and physical health.

We hope our participants will pave the way for the next generation to prosper and live a cleaner and healthier lifestyle. That’s why LOC FEST supports sustainable living. This includes: healthy eating, the use of natural products – especially from small businesses, reducing carbon footprints, and always finding ways to go green!

Beauty Products

LOC FEST supports healthy eating habits, as it can help prevent diseases and other health ailments. Healthy food choices can also have a positive effect on your mental health and can provide you with more energy throughout the day.

Being natural is more than embracing the characteristics of your kinky and curly hair texture. It is about living a healthier lifestyle by eating right and using natural products.

LOC FEST supports small businesses – especially those promoting natural products. Natural products are proven to improve one’s skin by reducing redness, irritation, breakouts, and more.

LOC FEST NYC uses it’s outlet to spread awareness of climate change and what small measures YOU can do to make sure the next generation can live in a better world.

Eleven percent of all global greenhouse gas emissions caused by humans are due to deforestation comparable to the emissions from all of the passenger vehicles on the planet.

lights and electronics when you’re not using them
